A Collaboration With The Design Team...

Most art-consulting firms today cater solely to the commercial client. I believe there is a huge untapped niche to focus on residential clientele, especially in our area of Colorado where we meet buyers from around the world, with city and mountain homes.  What I find most common are designers and decorators who are often asked to satisfy the work of an art advisor as part of the design plan, yet don’t have the extra time to keep up with the ever changing global art market, or stay on top of newly recognized and emerging artists.  Additionally many clients lack ‘art confidence’ — hesitant to initiate a search for art because the selection is so vast and daunting. The key is to find something one loves, wants to see in their home every day, wants the world to see, and informs their guests.

I’d like to add a dimension to the design services made available to your clientele by providing outside expertise - separating the design from the art (which is important for the savvy client) but also incorporating the art into the design!  I can offer an ‘art experience’, walking clients into local artist studios, selecting pieces from hundreds of artists and galleries nationwide and abroad, and offering extensively researched ideas to help you achieve their overall vision for their home.  It's an aspect, I believe, that aims to inform and empower the client in personalizing their space with art they can truly connect with.

My past collaborations with design teams include both the commission and installation of: an outdoor entrance for a 15,000 square foot home in India; a 40 ft painting at a private 100-acre estate in the U.K.; a dining room in the World II Cruise Ship; and the famous 120 ft painting, "Velocity", at the new Circuit of the Americas racetrack in Austin.  Most recently I created and pitched a concept to create an entrance hallway to the new state-of-the-art technology campus, Raging Wire, in Ashburn, VA.  I went a step further in arranging for then Governor Tim Kaine to visit the new campus during his election run for US Senator -- which brought great press to the client and the artist.

I will go beyond the finished product to insure the connection between art and buyer.
